ITW Vortex Tubes
from Pelmar Engineering
Vortec Vortex Tubes
are an effective, low cost solution to a wide variety of industrial spot and process cooling needs. With no moving parts, Vortex Tubes spin compressed air to separate the air into cold and hot air streams. While French physicist Georges Ranque is credited with inventing the vortex tube in 1930, ITW Vortec was the first company to develop and apply this phenomenon into practical and effective cooling solutions for industrial use. |
"Minitwist" - MTFC - Automatic Self-Cleaning Filtration System
Automatic Filtration System
Minitwist Model MTFC is a fully automatic, self-cleaning filtration system for flows of 0 - 100 US GPM (23M3/H). It removes dirt as fine as 20 micron, and uses a very small amount of water during cleaning process. In filtration mode, flow is from bottom of filter to inside of screen, and out. During cleaning mode, rotating nozzles collect dirt removed from screen by reverse flow, and send it out through top of filter. Backwash process takes only 5 seconds.

Galaxy Multi-Spine Disc Filter
from Pelmar Engineering
Filtration Process
Inlet opens allowing a flow of water from the inlet manifold into the filter, through the 5 elements of filtration, to the outlet manifold and out to the field.
Backflush Process
Inlet is closed. Drain port opens allowing clean water to flow from the outlet manifold in the opposite direction into the filter. The discs are cleaned, particles are flushed out from the filter through the drain manifold.

| Vortex A/C - Vortex Cooler from Pelmar Engineering
Avoid any downtime, with the most affordable, reliable, and easiest to install thermal protection product available for electrical enclosures!
Just as quiet as an air conditioner (about 62 dBA), the Vortex A/C; noise level is 73% less than other conventional, vortex type cabinet coolers. When the thermostatically-controlled Vortex A/C is operating, the decibel level is about the same as normal human conversation!
This next generation, Vortex Cooler features an integral mechanical thermostat to conserve energy and maintain enclosure temperatures within a range of 80° to 90°F. Requiring only a compressed air supply to operate, the UL listed Vortex A/C quickly installs in a 1.5" knockout hole to keep electrical control panels cool, clean and protected.

Flow Control Valve from Pelmar Engineering
The Model 770 Rate of Flow Control Valve is an automatic control valve designed to maintain a constant pre-set rate of flow regardless of changing system pressures and demand. It is a pilot controlled, hydraulically operated, diaphragm actuated globe valve in either the oblique (Y) or angle pattern design.
Valve differential pressure powers the diaphragm actuator open or closed. The lower control chamber is connected through a fixed orifice to the downstream pressure, which serves to cushion the closing of the valve. The upper control chamber, which operates on a two-way control principle, has varying pressure produced by the rate of flow pilot and the pilot's internal upstream restriction needle valve. |

Spot Cooling System
from Pelmar Engineering
Cold Air Guns use filtered compressed air (80-100 PSIG) and vortex tube technology to produce sub-zero air for industrial spot cooling. Cold air machining eliminates mist coolants and heat-related parts growth while improving tool life, parts tolerance and surface finish quality.
Applications:
Cold Air Guns are used in various industrial processes, fabrication, assembly and packaging as a versatile spot cooling device. Most popular applications involve cooling during the machining of metals, plastics, wood, rubber, ceramics and other materials. Cold Air Guns provide effective cooling for most dry machining operations, allowing increases in feed rates and extending tool life. With no moving parts to wear out, the internal vortex tube converts factory compressed air into a sub-zero air stream, producing temperatures down to as much as -30°F.
